SAGE Garden Working Bee

Sun, 17 January 2021 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm

SAGE Garden Working Bee

Every 3rd Sunday of the month

10.00am at the SAGE Garden

Our working bees are held every 3rd Sunday of the month from 10am at the SAGE Garden, located at 110 Queen Street, Moruya (at the far eastern end).

Come along to lend a hand with one of the jobs we’ll have planned and bring something along to share for morning tea.

Working bees are a great way to introduce yourself to SAGE, get to know some of the other members and talk about all things gardening and food.

It’s how many of our most active members first became involved with SAGE. Our Market Manager, Kate Raymond, is one example:

“When I first started turning up to working bees in 2010, I knew no one and had absolutely no idea what was what. I thought they had a fabulous head-high crop of something coming along, but it was actually all weeds: that’s how little I knew. It seemed like all I did for months was pull out weeds, but as I got to know other members and learned what SAGE was doing, I was able to find other ways I could help SAGE achieve its vision. I’ve also made some very special friendships. I rarely get to a working bee anymore, but I can’t recommend them highly enough for new members. Not only that, they’re essential for keeping the garden productive and looking good.”

Without the hard work and dedication of our membership, SAGE would not be what it is today. Volunteering for SAGE can be a fun and rewarding experience!

Could you please bring your cup and some morning tea to share?

See you this Sunday!
